Beekeeping in the Philippines

My good friends Inaki and Carol Goitia gifted me and my wife with a bottle of pure honey and and a small dropper bottle of propolis tincture, these are the products they have produced from beekeeping.

Pure bee honey is considered as one of the best natural anti-oxidants and promotes one's immune system. The propolis tincture could be applied externally for skin problems to fight bacteria, viruses and fungal infection, it can also be taken internally as well to combat arthritis, Rheumatism and control hypertension. Propolis happens to be nature's most potent probiotic.

Urban living has much to do with the weakening of our immune system because of the severly polluted air and water we consume daily. To make matters worse we eat a lot of food that has trace chemicals and small amount of poisons that promotes the increase of free radicals in our body which causes us to weaken and be ill. And when we get sick we resort to taking prescribed medicines which are chemically fabricated. This may cause our immune system to weaken further. A lot of medical practitioners may disagree with me on this, but I firmly stand my ground that the best way to stay healthy is to avoid fatty food, processed food, tobacco and liquor and in the event of ailment and illness, only take in natural medicines.

I am so sold with bee farming that I am now scouting for resources so I could also start my own bee farm. I was told that I could start it with just two bee colonies and work my way up from there.
